Flying during WWDC

I should have planned this better. I’m going to be one a plane to NYC (and therefore completely out of touch) during the WWDC keynote. That means that I’ll have to wait hours to learn about all of the exciting new iProducts that Steve is trying to sell me.
The scary thing is that I’m not sure if I’m joking or not.

I figure I am going to buy whatever it is this year anyway. Too bad Connexion by Boeing went belly-up. I was on a SAS flight from Copenhagen to Seattle a couple of years ago and having broadband service in the air was awesome. I was IM’ing with my mom and watching streaming video from the comfort of my airplane seat. Ahh… the future of technology… or the past… whatever.
Yeah, I had a bunch of friends that worked on Connexion. It’s sad to see it gone, but it seemed massively over-engineered (I think it added 500 lbs to the weight of the plane). Hopefully the future will be cheaper.
I’m flying JetBlue, which seems to have one plane with network access. Somehow I doubt I’ll be on it :-).
Jeff, your mom does IM?
She does believe it or not! :-)
