Work is hell, or at least Cisco is evil

It’s been an interesting week for work, and it’s only Tuesday. We’ve just started a big project at work to replace our existing grammar for Cisco IOS with a new, shiny one that’s more complete, and the sheer size of IOS keeps getting to me. There are probably somewhere around 15,000 IOS configuration commands, as we count them, and the grammar that covers all of them stretches the limits of most parser generators. We’ve been killing yacc this week, it’s been fun.

    I’m a cisco student stuck in the cisco class at my high school. cisco is pure evil. I hate it, but despite all I do, I can’t get out of the class. HELP ME!

    I just got done taking a test over ethernet technologies. I failed with a 55%. So did half the class. We have a 100 question review and our test was 17 freaking questions. Now this would be a good thing if I actually cared about Cisco. I don’t, and neither does anyone else trapped in here. Our teacher, Mr. “Clifty” is the lamest teacher I’ve ever had. The man isn’t even Cisco certified. He can’t even give a lecture over the material without actually have access to the cirriculum. The man is bold, fat, and boring. Ending up like him isn’t one of my aspirations in life. I don’t want to set up and manage networks for a living. I can feel my I.Q. dropped by the minute everyday when I’m in this class. HELP ME! CISCO IS PURE EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!
