I could be all girly and pink and say, “Ooh, the gui’s sooo pretty. Mmmmm. Shiny.”, but where would that really get us? It’s a mac – of course it’s pretty. But as an only quasi (as in “modo”) techie, can I say how nice it is to work with? iTunes is heavenly; email and iCal seem sufficient to the day; and Force Quit makes me so happy, sometimes I blow stuff up just for the heck of it. I love it almost as much as I dislike the evil empire.

I don’t think I really all that bitchy and whiney, though.

;-)
Mon, 08 Sep 2003 16:03:54 -0700 urn:uuid:3af6966d861c6ff8e1de3effa4255cea http://scottstuff.net/blog/2003/09/02/linux-on-the-desktop#comment-1207 Comment on Linux on the Desktop by Justin Akehurst
Scott – I was reading about your ideas on how to make services that you could just bolt together on a machine. I think you are on to something there. My friend Matt Hixson and I have been thinking along those same lines. If you and I come up with the same general idea, then perhaps that idea is where the world needs to tend towards. –Justin Akehurst
Tue, 02 Dec 2003 11:39:09 -0800 urn:uuid:7e441871d8b17c37d154ae0cc5ba2881 http://scottstuff.net/blog/2003/09/02/linux-on-the-desktop#comment-1196 Comment on Linux on the Desktop by heshmat
what can we do to completly crash linux?
Tue, 26 Oct 2004 13:15:07 -0700 urn:uuid:350118290d3dd3c434c5ac49207b97e8 http://scottstuff.net/blog/2003/09/02/linux-on-the-desktop#comment-340 Comment on Linux on the Desktop by christopher_bergeron@yahoo.com
This post about *nix is such a shill! You’re talking about how great internap is and how you had 700 *nix servers, yet you bash *nix without making a single VALID point.
Tue, 22 Nov 2005 18:46:44 -0800 urn:uuid:47f10e59d9bddbc17c4e03e4940b0325 http://scottstuff.net/blog/2003/09/02/linux-on-the-desktop#comment-513
